Donate Now: Afghanistan Winter Crisis Appeal

Donate Now!

Afghan families need urgent help this winter.

Afghanistan is heading for catastrophe. Conflict, severe drought and the Covid-19 pandemic have left more than half of all people without enough food to eat. High levels of inflation have seen the price of essential items like oil and rice soar. Even those who remain in work are unable to afford to feed their families.

Winter will only make this situation more dire. Without your support, Afghan families living in makeshift camps will struggle to survive sub-zero temperatures and snowfall.

We must act now. Please make an urgent donation today.

As Afghanistan’s harsh winter sets in, many lives could be lost. Action Aid is already on the ground in Herat, Kabul, Ghor and Balkh, but we need your help to scale up our response and reach more families in desperate need.

Just $75 could help provide a three-month winter support package to an Afghan family.

Your support can help provide essential items such as food, blankets, warm clothing, and heating and help prevent a family from facing hunger and coldness this winter.

Your support is urgently needed. Please donate today.

Where your donation goes

As per ActionAid Australia’s emergency fundraising standards, 90% of funds raised from this appeal will go to emergency response and 10% to fundraising and administration.

In the event that funds raised exceed the amount required to meet the immediate and longer term needs of the people impacted, ActionAid Australia will direct donations to our Arise Fund, which supports disaster preparedness, response and recovery for current and future emergencies.
