EMERGENCY: Philippines Typhoon Response

Donate Now!

Super Typhoon Rai has caused widespread destruction forcing thousands of families to evacuate across the Philippines.

Winds of up to 235km/h and torrential rains have torn roofs off houses, flooded streets and farmlands and caused dangerous landslides. Now more than 450,000 families have no power, clean water or safe shelter.

With the death toll at 375 and rising, ActionAid is working with local partners National Rural Women’s Coalition and WENet (Women’s Emergency Network) to meet the needs of the vulnerable communities.

Donate now to support ActionAid in delivering food, clean water, fuel, dignity kits and clothing to families whose homes have been destroyed.

Where your money goes

As per ActionAid Australia’s emergency fundraising standards, 90% of funds raised from this appeal will go to emergency response and 10% to fundraising and administration.

In the event that funds raised exceed the amount required to meet the immediate and longer term needs of the people impacted, ActionAid Australia will direct donations to our Arise Fund, which supports disaster preparedness, response and recovery for current and future emergencies.
