ActionAid has one active project in Indonesia
About
This project works with women to strengthen their capacity for leading inclusive community-based protection initiatives within rural communities in Banten and Central Sulawesi provinces. This is achieved through the recruitment and training of local women focal points in disaster risk reduction, gender-based violence referral mechanisms and sustainable livelihood activities.
The project is supported by the Australian Government’s Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP), and two local NGOs – Yappika ActionAid (YAA) and PATTIRO Banten.
Impact
The project has recruited and trained 76 women focal points in Banten, who have carried out educational campaigns within their communities on meeting the protection need of women and girls, including during natural disasters.
