Voices of Resistance Event
Come along on Sunday 18 November for a unique opportunity to hear directly from the women of Phola about their campaign to see justice from an Australian mining company. You’ll also have the chance to connect with other inspiring human rights activists from around the world.
On mobile? Please scroll down and RSVP so we can judge how many people to cater for!
We are excited to be joined by three international rights activists:
- Labour rights activist Sheung So from Hong Kong who is campaigning for better working conditions in factories in China;
- Community activists Mam Nonhlanhla Lorraine Mvubelo and Millicent Nomfundo Shungube from Phola, South Africa, who are demanding action from the Australian mining company impacting their community
There will be music, snacks will be provided – and meals will be available from the Friends of the Earth Food Coop.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
