Our 2014 Annual Report demonstrates how we have amplified the voices of women living in poverty to achieve great things, as we support the ongoing struggle for gender equality.
ActionAid believes that an end to poverty and injustice can be achieved through purposeful individual and collective action, led by those people living in poverty, and supported by our solidarity and campaigns, to address the structural causes of poverty.
In 2014, we reached thousands of people, ranging from women farmers struggling to grow enough food to survive in Kenya and Uganda, to women building livelihoods in rural Afghanistan, to women working with their communities to overcome the Ebola epidemic in West Africa, to women struggling with violence and human rights abuses during conflict in Gaza.
