About the Activist Network

Do you want to engage and inspire your local community to take action in solidarity with women around the world fighting for justice and equality? Are you keen to learn how to campaign and organise to create change? You’ve come to the right place!

We meet regularly online and in-person – to plan events and actions, build feminist advocacy knowledge, and get to know each other while we strive for a feminist future.

We’re building a people-powered movement here in Australia to hold government and corporations to account, and to stand in solidarity with women around the world who are demanding a fairer and more equitable world.

ActionAid Australia’s Activist Network is driven by a dedicated group of volunteers who organise events and campaign actions, bring new people into the movement, and build their leadership skills along the way. We know that to create the gender equality and justice that women are fighting for around the world we need everyday people to get involved and take action.
