Super Typhoon Fung-wong has caused widespread destruction across the Philippines.

The humanitarian situation in the Philippines is rapidly deteriorating, as over one million people have been affected by compounding disasters. Super Typhoon Fung-wong made landfall on Sunday, 9 November, bringing violent winds, torrential rains, and life-threatening storm surges.

This storm hit the country, as people were still reeling from the devastation caused by Typhoon Kalmaegi, which made eight landfalls across the Philippines on Sunday, 2 November 2025.

The crisis has been further exacerbated by a powerful 6.9 magnitude earthquake that struck Cebu and neighbouring provinces in September, further straining the already limited local resources.

ActionAid Australia is working with the Women’s Emergency Network to provide emergency relief for women and their families.

The need is great. Donate today to rush emergency support for women and their families in the Philippines.
