We’re holding a training day for people looking to become volunteer Community Leaders with ActionAid Australia.
Places are limited, so make sure you register ASAP >> https://act.ai/2RCwfpn
We’re looking for skilled, diverse and passionate people to be trained as Community Leaders. If you’re passionate about women’s rights and ending poverty, and want to be connected to a like-minded group of people – then this might be the gig for you!
What is a Community Leader?
ActionAid Community Leaders help build a movement of activists in their local communities to campaign in solidarity with women around the world for equality and justice. They organise events and campaign actions, and bring people into our movement for economic and climate justice for women.
This one-day training is for 2019 Community Leaders to skill up in community organising, campaigning and ActionAid’s Human Rights Based Approach so that you are ready to engage your community and make a real impact on the issues you care about. It’s also an opportunity to connect with the Australia-wide network of ActionAid volunteers, as well as the broader ActionAid global network.
