Interested in learning more about how people are driving change for climate justice in their communities? Come along to the Sydney Activist Network’s first Learning Circle event on the 11th October, 2026.

The ActionAid Learning Circles are a series of open, inclusive events designed to connect local activists, experts and interested community members. With a focus on personal storytelling, peer-to-peer learning and discussion, we hope to strengthen solidarity within the climate justice movement and translate conversation into action.

For our very first Learning Circle, we are thrilled to welcome Naomi Woyengu. Naomi is the Founder and Executive Director of the Hauskuk Initiative; an organisation that aims to amplify the voices of women and marginalised communities in Madang, Papua New Guinea.

Join us in hearing from Naomi about her personal journey and frontline experience working on community-led initiatives, gender justice and local empowerment in PNG. This will be followed by an open discussion dedicated to asking questions and sharing reflections.

We hope to see you there!

Hosted by the Sydney Activist Group, learn more about us and how you can join here!
