There’s little doubt that women are among those most affected by these intersecting crises due to their widespread exclusion from decision making and resources. But amidst adversity, there is hope. In this increasingly insecure and unpredictable world, women are mobilising – driving locally-led solutions to climate change, disasters and COVID-19.
ActionAid is investing in women’s leadership. This requires listening to diverse women’s voices and creating safe, intergenerational spaces in which to learn and develop together. ActionAid helps women with the resources they need – including the time and space to meet and the funding to drive their own priorities and deliver what works best for them and their local communities.
