Brisbane raises more than $10,000 at Frocking Hilarious
A huge thank you to ActionAid supporters who turned out in droves for Frocking Hilarious at the Brisbane Comedy Festival over the weekend, raising more than $10,000 for ActionAid’s work supporting women on the frontlines of injustice around the world.
Returning for its sixth year in Brisbane, packing out the Powerhouse Theatre, Frocking Hilarious Brisbane featured an all-woman lineup of comedians, hosted by Mel Buttle. Thank you to Mel Buttle, Meg Jager, Ruby Teys, Anisa Nandaula, Jordan Barr, He Huang, Kat Davidson, Bron Lewis and Jo Gowda for sharing your incredible talent and creating a spectacular event.
Frocking Hilarious is ActionAid Australia’s annual comedy gala, which aims to provide a platform for women comedians while also raising money for ActionAid’s work with women around the world. Money raised will support women who are empowering themselves in the face of crises like climate disasters, conflicts and emergencies.
