It's time to draw a red line on genocide.

Right now in Australia, our laws don’t do enough to stop our country from being complicit in genocide and crimes against humanity – whether through military trade, investments, embedded personnel or institutional partnerships.

But our Parliament can fix that.

The Red Lines Package is four critical new bills that would address the gaps in our laws, by:

  1. Preventing Australia from enabling genocide or war crimes through defence exports;
  2. Ensuring institutions do not contribute to or benefit from genocide through greater transparency;
  3. Preventing public funds from supporting illegal settlement activity and genocide risk; and
  4. Prohibiting the import and trade of goods and services from occupied territories.

By passing the Red Lines Package of legislation, Parliament could stop Australian investments and arms exports from contributing to human suffering.
