Every climate action empowers women

Update: The news is full of talk of a tax on gas exports. Momentum is building to make big polluters pay, and we need to rally together to seize this moment. We need your help – can you join us? 

With every degree of global temperature increase, women are the ones paying the biggest price.

By driving climate change, big polluters are putting women’s rights and gender equality under threat. In the climate crisis, women are more likely to lose their income, lose access to food and clean water, and face increased violence. 

But it doesn’t have to be this way. Together, we can push back, and stop this harm to women and our climate. 

By rallying together, we can hold big polluters and their funders to account and create a fossil free future. We can support a just transition and resilient communities rooted in women-led climate action. And we can fix the finance, making sure women and their communities have what they need to lead climate solutions.

To guide us, we have laid out a clear feminist climate justice agenda to:

• Create a fossil free future – putting an end to the very cause of the climate crisis
• Fix the finance – shifting the finance from the causes of the climate crisis to women-led solutions
• Champion women-led climate action – supporting women around the world who are leading climate action in their communities
