Help stop this attack on our democracy!

The Morrison Government is set to introduce alarming changes to laws that could silence every one of the 59,000 charities in Australia, including ActionAid, and hamper charities’ abilities to protect the most vulnerable communities and the environment.

ActionAid has joined an alliance of more than 70 respected Australian charities to oppose these proposed amendments. Together we aim to show the Government that there is widespread opposition to these proposed laws. And we urgently need your help to do it.  

Will you take just 4 mins to write to your local MP today and tell them to oppose these laws?

• Make sure you fill out your name and additional parts within the email template. 

• You can further edit and personalise this text – it will be more effective if you do (just remember to be polite)! Once you’re happy with the email, go ahead and submit it. 
• After you submit it, the email will go directly to your MP. 
• Important note: if your Federal MP is Assistant Treasurer Michael Sukkar, make sure you edit the text accordingly (ie. say it’s proposed by him and ask him to withdraw the proposed amendments).
