Levels of violence against women have skyrocketed.

Lockdowns designed to keep us safe are trapping women with their abusers, putting them at risk of serious violence or even murder. 

Talat was able to get help from ActionAid’s Gauravi Crisis Centre. Safe spaces like Gauravi, support women escaping violence with legal, medical and counselling support, and equip them with the skills they need to become financially independent.
