Swap your clothes for women's rights
Join us at the Bankstown Arts Centre in Sydney on Sunday, 13 October 2019 from 11am-2pm to find some pre-loved treasures, and learn about how free trade deals impact women’s rights in sectors like garment manufacturing.
Key details:
- When: Sunday 13 October, 11am – 2pm
- Where: Rehearsal Room, Bankstown Arts Centre, 5 Olympic Parade, Bankstown, NSW 2200
- What to bring: Your pre-loved clothes, and a small donation if you’re keen to update your wardrobe!
We’ll also hear from Nina Gbor, Founder of Eco Styles and Clothes Swap & Styles, and award-winning advocate, eco stylist and sustainable fashion advocate. Nina will share her insights on the importance of sustainability in the fashion industry and global women empowerment 💪
This event is part of ActionAid Australia’s #TransformTradeforWomen campaign to stop the Australian Government from signing the dodgy Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) trade deal – which will prioritise corporate rights over women’s rights.
