Hosted by Women’s Agenda and ActionAid Australia, this special virtual event will feature an inspiring line-up of speakers discussing the critical role that women play in shaping our future as they address the impacts of climate change.

Rossette Kalmet 

Rossette leads ActionAid Vanuatu’s nature-based climate solutions program. A combination of demonstration plots, seed banks, nurseries and learning exchanges are utilised to promote climate resilient livelihoods, and the Women I TokTok Tugeta network will take this knowledge back to their communities. 

Blair Palese

Blair is Director of Philanthropy at Ethinvest, Australia’s oldest impact investment advisor, and managing editor at Climate & Capital Media, focused on the trends, investment opportunities and innovators of the emerging climate economy. She has worked in the climate and environment space in Australia, the US and internationally. In 2009, Blair founded 350.org Australia and was CEO for 10 years. She was Communications Director for Greenpeace International and head of PR for The Body Shop.

Tiahni Adamson

Tiahni is the Lead Community Engagement Officer for CH4 Global. Tiahni is part of a dynamic team that research and foster sustainable seaweed aquaculture, with a goal of zero methane agriculture.
As a Torres Strait Islander woman descended from the Kaurareg Nations of Thursday Island, and a Wildlife Conservation Biologist, Tiahni works diligently on a variety of external projects to nurture country, find solutions to our climate crisis and advocate for First Nations justice and land rights.

Angela Priestley (Host & Moderator)

Angela is the Founding Editor of Women’s Agenda, and now heads up the publication’s parent company Agenda Media. She is a journalist and editor turned media entrepreneur and business owner. Angela is a passionate advocate and supporter of making career opportunities more accessible to men and women, no matter what their life choices. She is a member of ActionAid’s Arise Leadership Circle.
