Our 2026 edition of Talking Action is here – and it’s full of powerful stories from women around the world who are leading change in their communities.

Every day, thanks to supporters like you, ActionAid is standing with women on the frontlines of the climate crisis, conflict, and injustice. In this issue of Talking Action, you’ll read inspiring stories of women who are rising, leading, and creating change.

This newsletter is a celebration of the power of women’s leadership and the impact you make possible.

In this edition of Talking Action, you’ll find women’s stories from around the world:
  • In Uganda, Lamunu was displaced by war for 13 years and did not give up on reclaiming her home from a family member who refused to let her return. With the support of ActionAid’s women’s shelter, she is now reunited at her home with her son and grandchildren.

  • In Gaza, women and families are facing unimaginable hardship as conflict continues to devastate communities across the Middle East. ActionAid’s local partners are on the ground delivering food, shelter, and safe spaces to those who need it most.

  • In Vanuatu, women in the remote village of Lawital connected 115 homes to solar power for the very first time with the support of ActionAid. They’re making streets safer, giving children hours to study after dark, and giving women time back in their day.

  • At the Women Deliver Conference, ActionAid Vanuatu’s Flora Vano took to the global stage to demand women-led climate action and a seat at the decision-making table.

  • In Australia, Frocking Hilarious packed out Sydney’s Enmore Theatre and the Brisbane Powerhouse, raising more than $26,000 for women on the frontlines of injustice around the world.

These are just some of the ways your support has helped transform lives and ensured communities around the world have the strength to build a brighter future.
