Tell the Trade Minister to stop RCEP!
The Australian Government is considering signing a dodgy new trade deal that gives even more power to big corporations at the expense of women and their communities – especially in low-income countries.
The deal, known as ‘RCEP’ (the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership), could lead to unfair working conditions, threaten women’s access to essential public services, and increase their unpaid labour.
Key government representatives will be negotiating the terms of this deal in Melbourne from 28 June – 3 July, so we have just a short window to ramp up the pressure on the new Minister for Trade and make sure our message is heard.
Write to Senator Simon Birmingham before it’s too late and urge him to reject this dodgy deal!
