Every degree deepens inequality.
Every climate action empowers women.

While rich countries and polluting corporations have fuelled the climate crisis, they are not being made to pay for the damage they’ve caused. Big polluting coal and gas companies continue to get billions in government handouts, while often paying less tax in Australia than your average teacher or nurse.

Australia and other rich countries are failing to provide the climate funding that they owe to support countries and communities in the global South to respond to climate disasters.

With every degree of global warming the costs of climate disasters are rising, yet our global finance system is letting big polluters off the hook, and pushing the costs of the crisis onto those who are least responsible and have the fewest resources to cope.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. Together we can ensure big polluters pay their fair share and take action to fix the finance for people and the planet.
